In other celebrity stunt moves…
According to Urban Daily, after one of her fan Twitter accounts allegedly leaked songs of hers on the social network, rapper Nicki Minaj has deleted her own Twitter page leaving over 11 million followers scratching their heads.
Apparently, the Harajuku Barbie was upset with her “Barbz.” The move has created an online civil war between Minaj fan sites like Nicki Daily (which has been deleted) and the rappers fans trading blame for their idol’s departure from the social network.
Before deleting the account Nicki wrote, “And that’s exactly why I’m paying barbz DUST right now! And deleting my Twitter. Don’t cry for me Argentina.”
Shortly after her account went dark, #NickiComeBack began trending. Fans are still wondering if this was the reason enough for her to delete her account, backlash of her latest project or even her latest Nightline interview. Clearly, Nicki Minaj was not happy to see her loyal fans support the fan site. One of the site operators has received an outpouring of sympathy from Twitter users who still sit and wonder…
Nicki Minaj is not the first celebrity who has jump shipped on Twitter. Keyshia Cole recently deleted her account, while others like Chris Brown, Cassie, and Kid Cudi have deleted their pages only to return later.
Do you think Nicki Minaj will return to Twitter? Do you even care?
