Get your credit cards together for yet another live music opportunity as Boost Mobile and Guerilla Union have announced the return of the ROCK THE BELLS 2012 FESTIVAL series.
The always highly anticipated event will feature hip-hop artists both on the come-up and in the forefront over the course of two days in four major North American markets, boasting headliners like Kid Cudi, J Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Nas, Salt-N-Peppaand more (see line-up below).
The tour, which is the first and only of its kind dedicated specifically to hip-hop, will begin with a kick off in San Bernardino, CA on August 19 and 20 at the NOS Events Center. The festival will then make its way to Mountain View, CA on August 25 and 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and conclude on the east coast in Newark, NJ on September 1st and 2nd at PNC Arts Center.
Wait, September 1st and 2nd? Looks like Jay-Z will be facing some stiff competition that weekend. What is a hip-hop head to do?
Well, you can’t go wrong with either event as both will be flexing the power of the hip-hop community and benefiting great causes. Jay’s Budweiser Made in America Festival will benefit United Ways in greater Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and New York City and ROCK THE BELLS has joined forces with Hip Hop and Hope for Haiti for a benefit show later this year where all proceeds will be donated to the organization.
Pre-sale tickets go on sale Friday, May 18 with the general public following on Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. EST.
