Watch This: ‘Django Unchained’ Trailer Released feat. Jamie Foxx & Leonardo DiCaprio
Set two years before the Civil War, ‘Django Unchained’ is Quentin Tarantino’s latest project. Even though the movie has already started much controversy, the film doesn’t drop until Christmas Day. Tarantino and the Weinstein Co. decided to drop a teaser of the movie.
The film is packed with some heavy hitting stars like Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Leonardo DiCaprio and Don Johnson. In the released footage, the clip shows Foxx’s Django attempting to fight the powers that be, as he says in the trailer, “I kill white people and get paid for it. What’s not to like?” After a solemn opening scene, the trailer displays more of its quick action against a remix of the James Brown classic, “The Big Payback.”
The movie plot: Former dentist, Dr. King Schultz, buys the freedom of a slave, Django, and trains him with the intent to make him his deputy bounty hunter. Instead, he is led to the site of Django’s wife who is under the hands of Calvin Candie, a ruthless plantation owner.
