Hair loss occurs in men no matter the race. Like any other race, black men experience hair loss for the same reasons. Even though we like to pretend and uplift the “good hair mantra,” baldness is nothing new in the black community. In fact, black men are reported to actually experience balding and thinning at a very young age- before the age of 30! Because of the texture of our hair, this makes our hair prone to damage even when short. While genetics play a major factor, trying to find ways to stimulate growth can be easy.
